The Asansol Unit is located at ADDA Industrial Complex and connected to the NH2 by a 20 mtr wide road. The total area is 25 acres (101,171 sq. mtr), of which covered area is 17,463sq. mtr. The covered area consists of 4 manufacturing bays, each 100 mtr long and 22 mtr wide with an overhead load carrying capacity of upto 100 MT and a hook height of 12 mtr and RCC trimix flooring for handling large loads.

The Asansol facility has several large machining centres like CNC Turning Centres, CNC Horizontal Boring Machines, Vertical 5 axes Milling and Boring Machine (6 mtr by 2.6 mtr), Horizontal Floor Borer (2.5 mtr by 13 mtr), CNC Profile cutting machine and Submerged Arc Welding machine (Column and Boom & Trolley type), 3 roll Plate Rolling Machine (upto 100 mm thickness, 3500 mm wide) besides other equipment required for large precision machining and fabrication.

The Unit has manufactured various special purpose steel plant equipment & High Wall Mining Machine which is approved by all the major European Engineering firms like SMS, Siemens, Danieli, Paul Wurth, and Valmet (erstwhile Metso Power). It is ISO 9001:2015 certified and approved by IBR and Nuclear Power Corporation. The Unit boasts of a highly trained and competent workforce and have undergone scrutiny of major European certifying agencies.
